Your role
We are looking for a Technical Assistant (Lab and Field) to support the development and application of our innovative bio-based dust control solutions. This role involves both laboratory and field responsibilities, working closely with our Dust Control Application Manager and Product Development Team to ensure product effectiveness in mining and quarry environments. You will conduct lab testing, analyze samples, lead field trials, and provide technical support to clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys working predominantly outdoors, solving real-world challenges, and seeing the direct impact of their work.
Your tasks
  • Field Trials & Application: Plan, execute, and monitor field trials and commercial demonstrations.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze environmental, soil, and dust control data.
  • Client Support: Collaborate with clients, provide technical guidance, and troubleshoot on-site concerns.
  • Product Development: Provide feedback on customer issues and trial results to improve product performance.
  • Lab Testing & Reporting: Conduct lab tests, analyze samples, document results, and coordinate with external labs.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow safety protocols, prepare safety files, and ensure proper chemical handling.
  • Industry Insights & Training: Stay updated on best practices and train site personnel on dust control techniques.
Your profile
  • Experience in lab testing, dust suppression, soil stabilization, or environmental studies (mining experience preferred).
  • Strong technical skills in executing field trials and technical demonstrations.
  • Valid driver’s license and experience with water bowsers and spray trailers (advantageous).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
