Biosynthetic Technologies is currently seeking an individual to work as a Customer Service Representative, reporting to the Director of Operations, to work on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position will be responsible for supporting customer service, outbound logistics, inventory, and quality management for a global market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Communicate and confirm with customers when purchase orders are placed
  • Coordinate with warehouses, transportation providers, and customers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments and deliveries
  • Help create and manage paperwork for orders (COA, BOL, Pick Tickets, etc.) and manage invoicing
  • Support sales team with communication to customers about pricing changes, closures, order details, and other communication as applicable
  • Coordinate with the sales and operations teams on status of materials to help mitigate customer issues and supply chain interruptions
  • Manage inventory and S&OP process along with the supply chain team to help optimize inventory processes
  • Understand ISO 9001:2015 principles and assist with quality management and customer complaints
  • Provides customers with all requested paperwork as needed
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and corporate meetings

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelors degree in business-related field
  • 2-5 years of customer service experience preferred (chemical industry experience is a plus)
  • Logistics and supply chain experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP system, preferably NetSuite
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Willingness to be flexible, learn various aspects of the business, take initiative on projects, and work in collaboration with a team
