Role Description The Sr. Business Development Manager is a full-time remote role in the South responsible for driving growth across target markets and strategic customer segments. This role includes identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, and developing account strategies to increase adoption of Biosynthetic Technologies’ products. The Sr. Business Development Manager will lead negotiations, prepare tailored proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to align technical capabilities, pricing, and supply with customer requirements. Day-to-day activities involve market and competitive analysis, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting on performance against commercial targets. The role also partners closely with marketing and technical teams to refine value propositions and support product positioning in existing and new market verticals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within chemicals, lubricants, industrial, or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, opportunity assessment, and pipeline management using CRM and sales tools.
  • Strong skills in relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation with enterprise and strategic customers.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical, operations, and marketing teams to translate customer needs into commercial solutions.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including pricing approaches and value-based selling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex technical concepts in clear business terms.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, ect.); an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience in technically selling value-add products while solving latent technical issues in the lubricants markets is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration.
