Required Experience:
· Strong SolidWorks skillset, including modeling, assemblies, and drawings
· Microsoft Office, Excel, Word – Google Apps & Email
· 3-5 years developing industrial products and/or tooling and fixtures
· Ability to work in a manufacturing setting
· Test planning, data capture and analysis involving electro-mechanical equipment
· History of taking small projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
· Working knowledge of how to use and operate various tools and power tools
· Strong Analysis skills
· A Passion for learning new skills
· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic startup
· Great attitude and team player!
· PREFERRED SKILLS
· FEA, and Simulation Experience
· Experience working with and around Production lines and Manufacturing Equipment
· Notion, connected workspace platform
Role Responsibilities:
· Create 3D models using Solidworks, and develop 2D Engineering drawings of parts and assemblies
· Design tooling and support equipment for manufacturing new products
· Develop test plans and criteria for evaluating, or predicting, success of new products in their intended environment
· Design, order, build, oversee construction of fixtures, devices, hardware for testing
· Work on projects with senior engineers and take initiative to take on tasks and projects
· Coordinate with production team to plan and run experiments
· Run tests and gather data
· Root cause and troubleshoot issues or unexpected results
· Data Analysis, reporting, and conclusion generation
· Maintain SolidWorks PDM, support process for Production Release readiness
· Work on proof of concept designs, tools, and fixtures that demonstrate new capabilities
· Develop a productive working relationship with other employees across the company, not just the Engineering team
· Support manufacturing engineers with identifying or developing equipment, fixtures, and tooling, for improving process efficiency and worker safety
· Given the startup environment, assist with a variety of other tasks needed to advance company goals and objectives
Role Reporting:
· The Mechanical Engineering II role will be reporting to the Director of Engineering
Compensation:
· Pay scale varies on experience ($85k - $105k)
