Puraffinity is a spinout company from Imperial College London that specializes in designing and manufacturing novel advanced materials for environmental benefit, such as removing harmful pollutants from water and wastewater. Focusing initially on PFAS removal, Puraffinity has developed an innovative adsorbent media allowing an easily deployable solution for addressing PFAS compliance. In addition, the solution is highly cost-effective, providing an attractive return on investment for customers and reduced life-cycle costs. Founded in 2015, Puraffinity is backed by leading sustainability investors Kindred Capital, Heritage Group Ventures, and Investiere (Verve) Capital Partners. Puraffinity combines chemistry and material engineering expertise to architect molecular structures that exhibit a high affinity towards target compounds and can bind them effectively. The result is a new class of targeted adsorbent media that selectively captures emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
