Transcend is disrupting the Engineering and Construction industry. Transcend Design Generator (“TDG”), a first-of-its-kind generative design software platform, enables the companies that design our global infrastructure to automate Design & Engineering work that is currently done manually. There is over 500 billion dollars spent on engineering services each year, and capital planning and project development processes have not changed in decades. These companies are critical to our future, as they design our water, power, roads, and other core infrastructure. Due to their archaic processes, they are not innovating fast enough to impact our environment and help solve Climate Change. Over the last 10 years Transcend has developed and implemented cloud-based software that completely changes the traditional process and transforms the culture of these engineering and construction firms around the world. The company has a unique remote culture with offices in Europe and the USA.

Job Overview:

We need a skilled Player-Coach BDR Leader to join our team. This leader will boost our outbound sales, guide the BDR team, and improve our business development processes. Ideally, they should excel in outbound calling, list building, and social demand creation. Proficiency in using HubSpot is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BDRs to achieve and exceed their targets.
    • Conduct regular training sessions on best practices, outreach techniques, and industry knowledge.
    • Provide ongoing feedback and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Outbound Calling:
    • Execute strategic outbound calling campaigns targeting utilities and engineering companies.
    • Identify and qualify high-potential leads, setting up discovery meetings for the sales team.
    • Maintain a high level of activity including cold calls, emails, and social outreach.
  • List Building and Process Improvement:
    • Develop and refine the business development process to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Create and manage targeted prospect lists based on market research and data analysis.
    • Put in place process improvements to streamline lead generation and qualification.
  • Social Demand Creation:
    • Use social media and digital platforms to generate demand and build brand awareness.
    • Use LinkedIn and other social channels to talk to prospects. Start conversations and grow relationships.
    • Work with the marketing team. Align social selling with marketing.
  • HubSpot Utilization:
    • Use HubSpot CRM to track, manage, and report on BDR activities. Use it to track pipeline progress.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and activities within the CRM.
    • Use data and insights from HubSpot to inform strategy and decision-making.

We need you on our team if you have the following competencies:

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the utilities or engineering Industries Is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work in a remote team environment, across time zones, but also thrives working independently.
  • Collaborative: The ability to work cross functionally across different departments.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Ability to simply and clearly present complex financial concepts to various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to Adapt: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, global work environment.
  • Integrity: Strong ethics with unquestioned integrity; High personal standards of behavior.
  • Passion: Confidence, high level of energy, Ability to quickly develop credibility; respected as a leader.

Where you will be doing it:

This position is a remote position with flexibility to work from anywhere in North America or Europe. Similarly, the people you will be working with are from all over North America and Europe. Applicants should have a willingness to travel for major company functions, conferences, and client meetings as well as be flexible in working on a diverse team across several time zones 30% travel expected. The ability to travel internationally is a requirement.

We would love to hear from YOU if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a BDR or sales role within a SaaS company.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong experience with outbound calling and lead generation, particularly in utilities or engineering sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development process improvement, list building and working cross functionally.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and other sales tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
