Transcend is disrupting the Engineering and Construction industry. Transcend Design Generator (“TDG”), a first-of-its-kind generative design software platform, enables the companies that design our global infrastructure to automate Design & Engineering work that is currently done manually. There is over 500 billion dollars spent on engineering services each year, and capital planning and project development processes have not changed in decades. These companies are critical to our future, as they design our water, power, roads, and other core infrastructure. Due to their archaic processes, they are not innovating fast enough to impact our environment and help solve Climate Change. Over the last 10 years Transcend has developed and implemented a cloud-based software that completely changes the traditional process and transforms the culture of these engineering and construction firms around the world. The company has a unique remote culture with offices in Europe and the USA.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • End to End Payroll and Expense payment processing; employee calculations, deductions of health benefits. Multi-entity payroll and expense entry and processing through HR platforms.
  • Health Benefits/Insurance Administration; annual renewals/open enrollment, cost comparison, employee support
    • Assists with benefit facilitation such as onboarding and open enrollment, acts as a resource for any questions or needs related to employee benefits. Manage the daily functions of various benefit plans, medical, dental, vision, disability.
    • Lead the annual benefits renewal process; comparing plans and cost savings; communication between the employees on changes and details. Includes Company Insurance renewals.
  • Policy Management; reviewing, updating, and creating policies for our employee handbooks. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all policies are up-to-date, compliant with legal standards and state and federal obligations, and aligned with our company culture and values.
  • Compliance Regulations; monitoring changes in laws and regulations, assessing their impact on our business operations, and implementing necessary adjustments to our policies and procedures. You will also conduct regular audits, prepare compliance reports, and provide training to employees to promote understanding and adherence to compliance requirements. A strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations; includes annual payments and 401K submissions and compliance.
  • Manage and keep records for existing employees’ files; salary/title, address changes and updates.
  • Liaison with HR Department in Hungary and HR Department in the United States.
  • Help organize Company Culture events for the Company; develop and maintain
  • Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive employee information. Strict confidentiality about management or business information that is not available to nonmanagement employees or outsiders. Such information could include (but not limited to) changing business strategies and processes, layoffs, and proprietary data

  • University or College Degree
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • At least 2 years at a VC or PE backed Start Up
  • Preference for experience across recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Thrives in a highly dynamic and rapid growth environment

Where you will be doing it:

This position is a remote position with flexibility to work from anywhere in North America or Europe. Travel to the Princeton NJ office once a month is required. Similarly, the people you will be working with are from all over North America and Europe. Applicants should have a willingness to travel to major company functions and conferences, as well as be flexible in working on a diverse team across several time zones 5 % domestic travel expected.
